ISP Polling

Today we again wrote to all the major polling companies requesting that they give consideration to including the ISP on future polls for the Scottish Parliament elections in May 2021.

We know from our own research that ISP is proceeding well in growing membership of the party and is already steering the political discourse in the upcoming elections, influencing the internal conversations of other parties.

Some companies have advised that they have indeed heard of the ISP and that they are inclined to include us in future polls. There are other polling companies who appear willing to risk their reputations again after the debacle of the 2017 UK general election.

Twitter polls are not exactly secret and some of them, initiated by big hitters in the pro-independence movement including All Under One Banner (AUOB), regularly attract around 7,000 respondents. This is a far larger sampling than in current published polls. These polls all show consistent, growing support for the ISP which has already moved beyond the Scottish Greens who polled 6% vote share in the 2016 Scottish elections.

We look forward to positive responses from the polling companies who have yet to reach beyond the Westminster ‘bubble’.
