Gender Recognition Act

Registration is closed for this event
Want to know more about the Gender Recognition Bill and how this might interact with the Equality Act and affect your rights as a woman?

Join us for our next women’s event on Saturday 2nd October from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Our topic is one of great significance to women throughout Scotland.

We will be focusing on the Gender Recognition Act Reform Bill and its impact on the protected characteristic of sex and what that really means for women in spaces such as prisons, hospitals, and other locations where we would normally expect safety and dignity.

We will have a speaker for the National campaigning group Forwomen Scotland, Kate Coleman Director of Keep Prisons Single-Sex, and Rhona Hotchkiss a former prison governor and specialist in the nursing field.

There will also be a short input from a party member on guidance on single-sex spaces in hospitals. This will be an open forum event with a Q&A and you will have the opportunity to contribute your experiences.
